could this be the very secret of avoiding pain, both emotional and physical ?

i meditate daily, but when i do, i cannot help but form an attachment with all my surroundings, and just the universe as a whole..

i try to see everything as empty, and soulless, but even an Intimate object, such a “pen” or a “musical instrument”… appeals to me, as more than just a “thing”
it seems like it holds so much soul within it..

im sorry if i sound like a wild hippie…
but could this be the problem to my unexplained agony?

Yes Yes Yes. You have got it. Just let go. If your mind is strong enough then you’ll be able to let go but keep developing those false connections and pain will follow. Life is pain regardless but we can decrease the aching by detaching our constant desire to posses. The Dalai Lama describes how when we begin to meditate our state of mind is scattered and easily distracted, then as we continue meditating or just being quiet our state of mind will increase it’s agitation until all of a sudden we stumble into peace of mind. When you immediately surrender yourself you will enter Peace of Mind much quicker. Strive to help people but if you can not do that at least cause no harm to anything. At least that’s what the Dalai Lama says. Think, Think, Think.
